JTRE London bolsters senior team with new Head of Acquisitions

James Keegan, JTRE London

JTRE London has appointed former Knight Frank Partner James Keegan as Head of Acquisitions as it prepares for its exciting next phase of growth.

James brings over 17 years of experience, most recently as a Co-founder and Director of sustainable development company AutumnHill.

Prior to this he was a partner at Knight Frank for 15 years overseeing the Central London Development team, working on some of the biggest PCL acquisitions and disposals including the sale of Battersea Power Station, Southbank Place (Canary Wharf Group); Mount Pleasant (Royal Mail); ITV Centre South Bank (ITV) and Sampson & Ludgate (The Carlyle Group).

The appointment reflects a real coup for JTRE London, showing its determination to target the next acquisition into its portfolio. The fast-growing mixed-use developer which has created a circa £1bn development portfolio in just five years believes now is the opportune time, with firm backing from JTRE head office in Slovakia, to prepare for the next positive cycle in London by acquiring significant mixed used schemes in PCL.

The appointment follows the recent hire of Seamus Porter as Operations Director, which has completed a new look, best-in-class team, supported by senior leadership appointments in asset management, sales & marketing and design.

Nigel Fleming, Joint MD for JTRE London, comments: “James’s experience and credibility in the market speaks for itself, we are delighted to add such a well-regarded individual to the team. His experience and expertise will be invaluable as we commence our next chapter.

Ensuring we acquire the right land underpins everything we do and sets the tone for future success. James joins us with an exceptional track record, working at the highest level with some of London's development industry powerhouses and landmark projects.

We have now built up a seriously experienced team and when twinned with the significant backing from JTRE, we are able to compete with the more established names across PCL to unlock potential and transform complex underutilized sites.”

James Keegan, Head of Acquisitions for JTRE London, comments: "It is hard not to be inspired by the incredible growth story of JTRE London. I am particularly impressed by the emphasis on delivering exceptional architecturally designed buildings and place making, which ensures projects deliver real quality and make a positive impact on London.

The appeal to work for an agile and driven business was too good to turn down and I am incredibly pleased to join at this pivotal time as we look to secure new acquisitions.”
